Personal Statement 
Nehir Kaptan

My interest in animation started when I began noticing the small details in scenes like the lighting, textures, and tiny movements that make characters feel alive. I realised animation is more than motion; it is a mix of observation, design, and storytelling.

 

Since then, I've been learning independently, experimenting with character design, colour, and movement to understand how they shape emotion. I enjoy exploring different styles and challenging myself through personal projects.

 

I'm excited to study animation in a professional environment where I can grow technically, collaborate with others, and develop my own artistic voice. My goal is to create expressive, meaningful work, and this portfolio reflects the progress I've made so far.
